USPA NEWS - Two teenagers are currently in custody following the discovery of an alleged plot to carry out school attacks in Manitoba and Nova Scotia by INTERPOL and the FBI.
****BRIDGEWATER POLICE SERVICE, MEDIA RELEASE**** The Bridgewater Police Service was alerted on March 13, 2026, by INTERPOL and the FBI to a concerning online conversation between two Canadian youths, including one residing in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. The conversation, ongoing since late February, involved discussions of a violent attack on students at Parkview Education Centre. While the attack was not believed to be imminent, it was clear that the youths had invested significant thought and planning into the idea.
On March 16th, 2026 Blue Hills RCMP arrested a Manitoba youth who had discussed their planning for attacking Rivers Collegiate with the Bridgewater Youth.
Authorities suspect that the individuals had been planning concurrent attacks at their local educational institutions. On March 17th, 2026, investigators with the BPS Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and patrol officers apprehended a 15-year-old youth and executed a warrant to search a Bridgewater residence. Law enforcement officials discovered detailed handwritten plans, imitation weapons, a crudely made imitation pipe bomb, and an assault rifle. Electronic devices including a cell phone and laptop, and clothing adorned with hate symbols and disturbing comments were also discovered.
As a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old Bridgewater youth has been charged with Conspiracy to Murder contrary to Section 465(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, Uttering Threats to cause death contrary to Section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code, and Hate Crime, with additional possible offences currently still under investigation. The youth is currently being held in custody and will appear at Bridgewater Justice Centre Youth Court on March 18th, 2026 for arraignment.
