After an unlucky appearance at the 3 Hours of SPA Francorchamps race due to a mechanical failure that forced his car to spin dangerously off the track into the barriers in the early stage of the Belgian competition , Bagnasco is ready to take his place behind the wheel of the GDL Racing Porsche 997 Cup S. Vittorio will be teaming up with Nicola Bravetti (Switzerland) and Bashar Mardini (Dubai) for Sunday's "200 Miglia" race in GT2 r2 class. After debuting in 2012 with GDL Racing in the INTERNATIONAL GT SPRINT Championship, where he achieved many podium finishes and partecipating in last years PORSCHE CARRERA CUP ITALIA, always acknowledged among the "top drivers", it seems that Bagnasco has tied his name to the German car from Zuffenhausen.
A brief history. The circuit of Imola is entitled to Enzo and Dino Ferrari and is located in the province of Bologna. First inaugurated in 1953, it has hosted The Formula 1 Gran Prix from 1981 to 2006. After closing in 2006 it was reconstructed and updated to modern safety standards imposed by FIA and is now theater of many international motor events.
