USPA NEWS - 2017 US Table Tennis Open's Number One Seed - Croatian Tomislav Pucar won the prestigious Champion's Cup at the Westchester Table Tennis Center December 2017 Open Championship in Pleasantville, NY in the USA.
Tomislav Pucar of Croatia, who is currently ranked as number 84 player in the World by the International Table Tennis Federation, ITTF, and as 2820 points player by the USA Table Tennis Association, met at the Westchester Open very strong and well known table tennis players with international experience: Jiang Niu from China, Adar Alguetti from the USA, Jian Li from the USA, Kai Zhang from the USA. He overplayed Jiang Niu in a Quarter-Final match with the match score 3:0 (5,10,11), Jian Li -- in a Semi-Final match -- 3:2 (6,8,-5,-10,5), and Kai Zhang with the match score 3:0 (7,9,4) in the Final match. The most impressive has been the Semi-Final match versus a modern defender Jian Li, in which Pucar was able to demonstrate a higher consistency in the 5th decisive game and to pull over the victory of the match on his side.
