USPA NEWS - President Obama spoke another Dutch word this week. This happened during the closing press conference of the Nuclear Security Summit. bama praised the Netherlands and Prime Minister Mark Rutte for the extraordinary work that has been done in helping to organize the summit.
He thanked King Willem-Alexander and the people of the Netherlands for their remarkable hospitality and that the organization has been flawless. Obama also thanked all the people who were involved in putting everything together, including those who were putting up with the traffic that he caused.
Obama said: I´m told there´s a Dutch word that captures this spirit, which doesn´t translate exactly into English. But let me say that my first visit to the Netherlands has been truly gezellig.

Obama convened the first Nuclear Security Summit in Washington four years ago because he believed that we need a serious and sustained global effort to deal with one of the greatest threats to international security “” and that´s the specter of nuclear terrorism. Obama said that they have made further progress at their third summit in the Netherlands.
This is President Obama´s first visit to Amsterdam and to The Hague and to the Netherlands. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte welcomed US President Barack Obama in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam on his first day.
Obama was proud to be with some of the Dutch masters who he had studied in school, and to see the extraordinary traditions of the Netherlands.
