This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves....

'Rogue One : A Star Wars Story,' or simply 'Rogue One', is a 2016 American epic space opera film directed by Gareth Edwards and written by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy. It was produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the first installment of the Star Wars Anthology series, set immediately before the events of the original Star Wars film.The cast includes Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. The film was made to be different in tone and style from the traditional Star Wars films. The film premiered in Los Angeles on December 10, 2016 ; in France on December 14, 2016 and in the United States on December 16, 2016.
