The two days International Conference about safeguarding endangered Cultural Heritage was held in in the presence of UAE leaders and foreign heads of states, prime ministers and dignitaries, in Abu Dhabi last 2 and 3 December 2016. Here is list of the participants to the closing session.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At the conference, the french President Hollande announced the International Fund supported by UNESCO “At this conference, we, Heads of State and Government and their representatives, officials and stakeholders, unite our efforts in favor of heritage by supporting international action to safeguard cultural heritage threatened by armed conflict Or terrorism. A follow-up conference will be held in 2017 to evaluate the implementation of the initiatives launched in Abu Dhabi and the first projects financed by the International Fund.“ said the French President Francois Hollande. SAFEGUARDING ENDANGERED CULTURAL HERITAGE CONFERENCE CONCLUDES----------------------------------- The closing session of the Safeguarding Endangered Cultural Heritage conference was held in the presence of UAE leaders and foreign heads of states, prime ministers and dignitaries.The two-day conference, a joint initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and French President Francois Hollande, is due to conclude later today with the adoption of the Abu Dhabi Declaration in support of the global mandate of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation, UNESCO, to protect cultural heritage during armed conflicts. A number of foreign heads of states, prime ministers and dignitaries attended the session along with H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, President Hollande, Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO, and UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. These included H.H.
